Kalo pothi was the most awaited movie by Min Bahadur Bham. In the movie, the director casts the story of two friends growing in Mugu during the era of civil war. The story was set out to find the missing hen. The film expressed the scene so beautifully. Nepali cinema has gone so far which is described clearly by this film.
i could not stop writing about this. i remember the first film i watched back at the age of may be eight years. Darpanchya was the first movie i watched and i think everyone watched that movie. The cinema of Nepali movie was not taking pace until this these previous 3 years. The year 2072 went with excellent movies. in 2073 Kalo pothi was among best movies and have recognized to various film festivals such as Andrei Tarkovsky’s films. I think Nepali movie is ready to be explored in the world. I am always excited about new movies now days and don’t like to miss any movies. This is the real assets that is collecting by the Nepali cinema. Will this pace be enough? No, only the talent and work will not be enough. Market research is a must. What kind of movies are seeking by the public should be understood.
Believe me, Nepalese prefer Nepali films over Hindi if the film delivers something into their mind. Only DHISSOOMM DISSOOM types of movies, i mean action with no logic is ridiculous concept and personally, i get irritate with such films. I never watch such movies. Talakjun vs Tulke, Jhola, Pashupatiprasad, Kabaddi and series are excellent movies. And do not forget about LOOT.
Updated technology and critical writing of script will bring new films in Nepalese and we will enjoy watching them. Personally, i will not leave any film at theater.
