YOGA FOR BEGINNERS

Are you new to yoga and looking for the basics? Here, I will provide the sequences and guidelines. I am  trying to build the confidence of the beginners to practice the postures deeper. You have to consult the general practice guidelines at the beginning and I am providing some of them here. You have to avoid certain postures in menstruation, high blood pressure, pregnancy and injuries to your body parts.
I recommend you to make sure about the alignment of the postures. The basics that have to be understood are to increase the intensity of the practice, hold postures for longer time and perform the practice to more challenging postures. Choose the postures that is easy to yourselves and perform the postures on the floor because you need to balance. For the starters, the position that does not recommended the holding of breadth is easier. Choosing the comfortable clothing is a must and you have to wear something that will not disturb your movement.
I advise you to not to drink or eat before practice especially when the position is inversion.  I recommend you to drink small amount of water and eat no less than 1-3 hrs. Using props in the practice will help you to be stable, find freedom and space. The props can be used in creative way and they can teach you in doing poses.
Let’s began with how to get into balance? In order to get into balance, the state of mind needs to be calm. If the mind is distracted, you will not be able to focus on the steps. After getting into balance, start building pose. There is no rush as you can start mindfully.
The basics steps that can be done in starting is open your chest and try to align yourself. The basics sequence will help you to get started. Eagle Pose will be excellent pose for warm up that will help to open your hips and shoulders.
Mountain pose is another basic pose for the beginner. At this pose, you have to stand facing the wall and keep feet-hip distance apart. Bring the outer edges of feet parallel by turning your heel. Inhale deeply and bend your arms. Spread your shoulder blades like wings across and up. Take deep breaths and soften your eyes. Slowly start exhalation with lowering the arms. Repeat the steps. Mountain pose is basic home practice that will help to build up your confidence.
Tree position is another pose for beginner which improves the balance of body and strengthens the back and legs. In this pose, you have to place you right pose on your left thigh and foot should be placed firmly. Raise your arm overhead and place the palms together. Take deep breaths and slowly exhale. Release your right leg and bring your hands down. After getting back to the initial position, you can repeat the same steps with another leg.
Follow the postures that will suit you and do not let anyone misguide you. At beginning, every poses will be challenging but gradually you will enjoy the postures.
